Lake Placid is one of the most pristine bodies of water in the United States.  Please help keep her that way!

 

Always DRAIN, DRY and CLEAN your boat, especially your bilge and your propeller.   Even a small piece of leaf or stalk from certain plants, like Milfoil, can repropagate into a whole plant.  These non-native plants are invasive and can destroy the ecosystem balance of the lake.

 

Lake Placid is the source of drinking water for the town of North Elba and the village of Lake Placid.  Do not put trash or refuse in the lake, and do not urinate in the lake.  Please treat it like water you are about to drink.
